Rock & Roll Summer School
is a Day Camp for Teenage Boys and Girls Interested in Music and Music Technology
Program Outline:
Week One:
Live Sound, PA Systems, Performance Workshops, Instrument Maintenance (Guitar and Bass Set-Ups)
Home Studio Recording, Cables & Connectors (How to Build Your Own)
Basics of Music Business (Copyrights & Performing Rights)
Week Two:
Recording Studio Production
Applied Workshops
Students record & mix their own songs, class members alternate as recording engineer,
producer and
studio musicians
The program is presented in a 2 week session meeting Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm (with a 20 min. snack break at noon). Each day class begins with a 30-60 minute reading
and discussion of technical material.
The remainder of the session is dedicated to applying this information with extensive
hands-on experience. Sessions are held at the new home of 7th
Wave Recording on
Mt. Kemble Avenue, Morris Township, New Jersey.
